There Was A Forest includes works in palladium and color, depicting Jewish presence and absence in Eastern Europe today. This is a part of a larger body of work by Loli Kantor, created from 2004 – 2010 in Poland, Ukraine and the Czech Republic. The opening reception will include images from Kantor’s award winning series, which earned third place recognition in the 2010 PhotoNOLA Review Prize.
