Around the same time as her documentation of the Hip Pocket Theatre, which started around 1999, Kantor also started photographing behind the scenes of various Fort Worth dance companies, both during rehearsals and live performances. Propelled by her love of dance and first having access to photograph the Ballet Concerto where her daughter studied led by Margo Dean at the Margo Dean School of Ballet, Kantor landed a long term project documenting the Bruce Wood Dance Company. There she captured their creative process, led by choreographer Bruce Wood, the creative force behind the company, and became the resident photographer for the company. She also photographed Texas Ballet Theatre, Dallas Fort Worth Ballet among others.
