Taking a spur-of-the-moment trip to Morelia in Michoacán, Mexico with a group of artists, Kantor discovered a new and deep expression of a ritual she had been familiar with within the Hispanic community of Fort Worth. While only a trip of a few days, the experience was profound and visually moving, capturing moments in low light with her medium format camera, recording her experience of Day of the Dead.
